HKS V Cam System Step 1 (Without Valcon) - Nissan Skyline GT-R RB26DETT
Step 1 of the HKS V Cam System brings continuously variable intake valve timing to the RB26DETT. The intake camshaft runs 248 degrees duration with 8.6mm of lift, and timing can be varied across a 90 to 120 degree range under electronic control. The kit includes an electromagnetic oil control valve, a high precision cam angle sensor, an HKS oil filler cap and the necessary small parts, with an unpainted intake valve cover.
Maximum engine speed for Step 1 is 8,000rpm, matching the standard rev limiter.

Required Separately
- Exhaust camshaft, chosen to suit the turbocharger. HKS recommend 256 degrees with the GT-SS and 264 degrees with the GT2530

Please Note
- Valve to piston clearance may be insufficient when the V Cam System is used with a thin head gasket or a modified cylinder head
- Oil pressure cannot be held at a safe operating pressure with low viscosity oil, which may prevent valve timing from reaching the target figures
- The camshaft will not advance below a water temperature of 20 degrees Celsius
- Recommended engine oil: HKS Super Oil (RB) or Racing Oil 10W-50
- Timing belt tension and wear must be checked every 10,000km
