RSE Full Titanium Mid Pipe Mazda MX-5 NC
Real Speed Engineering's full titanium mid pipe replaces the standard catalytic converter section on the NC MX-5 with two straight titanium pipes, running from the exhaust manifold back to the exhaust. Pipe diameter stays at the standard 60.5mm, so the gain here is weight and wall thickness rather than bore: 1mm titanium against 1.5mm standard, bringing the section down to 3.6kg against 8.5kg, a saving of 4.9kg. The flange layout follows the standard arrangement, so nothing has to be modified to fit it, and an A/F sensor plug is included for the redundant sensor boss. RSE note it works best paired with their titanium exhaust, though either part gives an improvement fitted on its own.
