RSE Full Titanium Exhaust Mazda MX-5 NA
Real Speed Engineering's full titanium exhaust for the NA MX-5 is built from thin-wall titanium and weighs just 5.7kg against the 10kg standard unit, taking 4.3kg off the back of an already light car. Main pipe diameter is increased to 60.5mm from the standard 48mm with 1mm wall thickness, feeding a 118mm titanium sub silencer and a 118mm main silencer in place of the standard box measuring 500 by 280 by 170mm, and finishing in an 89.1mm titanium tip against the standard 60mm. RSE build these one at a time by hand, using a flangeless slip joint of the type found on racing cars, and the straight thin-wall titanium construction is what gives the very high-toned note the NA is known for with this exhaust fitted.
