Infinity Design Carbon Intake for BMW M240i G42, M340i and M440i
The Infinity Design intake for the G series B58 draws air through two separate cold air feeds, one lower and one frontal, with the ducts optimised so the system matches the factory intake for inlet temperatures while letting in more air. A large volume airbox is combined with a venturi intake tube and Infinity Design's bespoke short stack air filter, which has a 170mm opening, larger than any cone filter currently on the market, and is positioned in front of the inlet tube to create the largest possible velocity stack.
Built on the same principles as their A90 Supra intake, dyno testing on an independent Dynojet showed gains of 12-16hp and 10-15 lb.ft, with boost building earlier thanks to the smoother airflow. Made from 100 percent pre-preg carbon fibre and available in a gloss or matte finish, the intake is a direct OEM fitment and requires no ECU tuning.
