The Eventuri Carbon Intake for the C8 Corvette Stingray Hard Top Convertible sets a new benchmark on this platform for the highest performing intake and the largest internal volume available. With the intake size and shape restricted by the OEM trunk panel, Eventuri redesigned it to allow for a larger intake - making it from clear polycarbonate so the carbon intake is on display when the trunk is open.
The patented Venturi housing concept allows airflow to negotiate through the filters with a much less tortuous path, reducing the drag of the system, while the increased overall volume raises the flow capacity, allowing higher powered builds to maximise performance gains. Intake air temperatures are minimised by a fully sealed system taking advantage of the OEM air feeds, with carbon fibre's low thermal conductivity across the wall thickness insulating the airflow.
The filter housing is designed with two patented Venturi pods merging into one outlet, comprising two bespoke high flow filters, aluminium cowls, laser cut brackets and the carbon pod itself — all in 100% prepreg carbon fibre with no fibreglass for a smooth internal surface. Back-to-back dyno testing by Paragon Performance on a completely stock car in a closed cell environment, with temperatures stabilised and variables equalised, showed a measurable gain throughout the rev range — not just at peak.
