The Eventuri Carbon Turbo Tube for the Honda Civic Type R FL5 is a direct replacement for the OEM metal turbo tube, developed around three key objectives: volume, flow quality and temperature management. Starting at 78mm at the intake end and increasing to 88mm, the cross-sectional area is over 32% larger than the OEM tube at its largest point.
The OEM FL5 tube starts at 76.5mm and maintains that diameter before reducing to the turbo inlet - while not restrictive at stock boost levels, the larger Eventuri tube is expected to benefit higher boost builds where airflow demand is increased. The high temperature prepreg carbon fibre construction achieves a smooth internal surface compared to the rough cast aluminium of the stock tube. A silicon coupler with an integrated thermal spacer prevents direct contact between the carbon elbow and the turbo housing, minimising heat transfer into the airflow.
