The Eventuri Carbon Intake for the Honda Civic Type R FK8 was developed through extensive design iteration, dyno testing and flow analysis to achieve two objectives: maintaining low inlet temperatures and de-restricting the turbo inlet path. The filter is enclosed inside a carbon airbox that seals against the underside of the bonnet, blocking heat from the radiator, turbo and downpipe — all of which sit in close proximity to the intake.
A secondary inlet scoop adds an extra 28cm² of cross-sectional area from the inner wing area, almost doubling the total inlet area compared to the single 35cm² stock entry. The carbon Venturi tube with integrated MAF sensor mount replaces the stock flexible rubber tube, which has deep ridges that create turbulence. The tube is independent of the airbox enclosure and moves within it to accommodate engine movement. VBox tested — 60-130mph reduced from 15.45s to 14.27s, a reduction of 1.2 seconds. Independently dyno tested by MSL Performance (UK), Master Tuning Asia (Hong Kong) and BR Performance (Belgium).
