The Eventuri Carbon Intake for the Gen 1 Audi 8V RS3 sets a new benchmark in aftermarket intake design for this platform. It was developed to achieve two objectives: de-restrict the turbo inlet path, and maintain low inlet temperatures.
The first was met by using 88mm internal diameter tubing all the way to the turbo, with the patented Venturi housing maintaining laminar flow — the filter and tubes both matched at 88mm to help the turbo run more efficiently. The second was met by designing a system sealed to the stock cold air feed, ensuring the turbo does not draw heated air from a quickly heat-soaked engine bay, with the intake duct maximised in volume for the highest flow rate through the filter, and the entire system in pure prepreg carbon fibre for heat insulation. Back-to-back dyno testing, bonnet closed, showed a gain of approximately 17hp and 25ft-lb throughout the rev range, while V-Box road testing recorded the 60-130mph time reduced by 0.3 seconds.
Performance gain: 17-20hp and 22-25ft-lb
V-Box acceleration: 60-130mph reduced by 0.3 seconds
