The E36 M3 Eventuri Intake has been meticulously developed to optimize airflow efficiency while maintaining low intake temperatures. Central to the design is our patented Venturi housing, which integrates directly with the MAF tube. This integration removes unnecessary junctions and establishes a continuous, laminar flow path from the filter to the M3’s intake plenum.
Where conventional cuboid airboxes and generic aftermarket systems generate turbulence and pressure losses, the Eventuri system maintains consistent velocity and pressure, maximizing volumetric efficiency. Intake temperatures are stabilized through thermal shielding and direct alignment with the OEM cold air feed.
The outcome is a marked improvement in throttle response and mid-range torque, along with sustained power delivery across the rev band—achieving performance gains without compromising drivability.
The Eventuri Difference
The E36 M3 Eventuri system uses our Patented Carbon fiber Housing which provides an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the engine. Not just another cone filter with a heat shield but a unique design which invokes the Venturi affect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce the drag on the engine.
DYNO TESTING
This intake has been independently dyno tested by Dream Automotive in the UK. Tests were done back to back against the stock airbox and several runs were taken with each configuration. We took the best results from the stock airbox and the best from the Eventuri system. The dyno results show a consistent gain throughout the RPM range which can be attributed to the smoother pathway through the intake system to the intake plenum. The performance gain translates on the road to increased part throttle and full throttle response with the car pulling much more eagerly to the redline.

The Eventuri E36 M3 intake system consists of a number of components engineered to perform a specific purpose and fabricated to the highest of standards. Here are the details for each component and the design ethos behind them:
Each intake system consists of:
- Carbon Fiber Venturi Housing with Integrated MAF Tube
- Bespoke High Flow Generation 2 Filters
- Aluminium Inlet Cowl
- CNC Machined Hardware and Stainless Steel Brackets
- Breather Filter Set

INTAKE HOUSING ASSEMBLY

The filter housing comprises of our bespoke generation 2 filter, aluminium inlet cowl, the carbon pod with shielding and integrated MAF tube. The carbon pod shrouds the reverse mounted filter and smoothly shapes the airflow down to the plenum. This is a key feature of the intake design where we have removed the tortuous flow path of the OEM airbox and therefore reduced the pressure loss through the whole system. The MAF sensor connection has been relocated to be less visually obtrusive but still functions in the same parameters as the OEM system. Finally the housing has heat shielding around the filter opening to prevent heated engine bay air from entering the filter and therefore keeping IATs controlled.


PATENTED TECHNOLOGY
Our patented filter housings have a smooth reduction in cross sectional area as they shroud the filters and taper down to the tubing. This geometry invokes the Venturi effect where the airflow accelerates whilst maintaining laminar conditions. It can be thought of as a large velocity stack - below is a diagram to show the comparison between our patented design and a regular intake system. Our bespoke filters aid the airflow moving through the housings and allow for an even velocity profile as the airflow exits the housings.
