The Honda S2000 axle shafts over the years have been known to experience pitting on the inside of the CV joint. This leads to vehicle vibration under acceleration. It is common practice for users to install axle spacers to subside the vibration. However, with or without the use of axle spacers the inner CV joint will eventually wear out and pit marks will cause vibration again. CV joint replacement will then be required to alleviate this issue. The sale of the CV inboards joints from Honda Motor Corp is $387.28 MSRP (part # 42320-S2A-310) This is rather expensive considering axle assembly is still needed. Another option is to purchase an entirely new axle from Honda. This is a $738.20 MSRP expense.
It is well known that many aftermarket companies who provide S2000 axles use lesser quality parts than OEM like a thinner Intermediate Shaft or poorly constructed CV Joints and bearings. In order to offer an OEM quality axle shaft, we have taken the initiative to rebuild and repair the OEM S2000 axle only using factory components. The pitting inside the CV joints are repaired. Both inboard and outboard CV boots are replaced and re-greased. The CV joints are cleaned and bead blasted for a like new finish.
