Airtec Motorsport Twin-Spec Intercooler Upgrade for Golf GTI Mk5/6 2.0 TFSI
Airtec tests every intercooler and radiator to ensure maximum gains from design and core choice, and this Twin-Spec upgrade for the Golf GTI is no exception.
Tested at Devil Developments (Stage 1 map, Devil 245)
With the standard intercooler fitted and a Stage 1 remap applied, power reached 246.9bhp with intake temperatures of 49°C — acceptable at Stage 1, but temperatures that would climb further, and cost power, on higher stages of tune. With Airtec's Twin-Spec intercooler fitted on the same remap, power rose to 261bhp with intake temperatures as low as 17°C, peaking at 21°C, in an install taking under 2 hours.
