Airtec Motorsport Turbo Cooler for Fiesta ST180
This auxiliary turbo cooler adds a separate radiator to the coolant line as it leaves the turbo, at the hottest point in the car. AIRTEC have measured a reduction in peak temperatures of approximately 10 degrees during hard track use.
Modifying an ST180 for more power and torque puts more heat into the cooling system, and the standard setup struggles to hold steady running temperatures on track or during fast road use. Dropping the temperature of the coolant coming off the turbo improves overall cooling capacity, so the car holds a steadier temperature for longer under sustained load.
Fitment was developed from a 3D scan and CAD modelling. The cooler sits behind the front bumper and takes its air through the fog light opening, which means the fog light has to come out. A sealed scoop, produced by Fused Deposition Modelling, seals the path so all the incoming air is forced through the cooler core rather than spilling around it.
The kit is supplied with laser cut and powder coated mounting brackets, Pro Hoses silicone lines, and all fixtures and fittings, along with detailed fitting instructions. Designed and developed in the UK specifically for the ST180.
