Airtec Motorsport Stage 2 Intercooler Upgrade for VAG 2.0 and 1.8 Petrol TFSI
Part of Airtec's expanding Audi, Seat, Skoda and VW TFSI range, this intercooler offers reduced charge temperatures over the original — particularly beneficial on remapped examples.
Replacing the hugely restrictive OEM twin intercooler and its lengthy pipework, a high-flow, single-pass core design is wider, taller and deeper than the original for a significant increase in frontal area and capacity. Despite this, it fits neatly behind the original bumper with no trimming or cutting, and can be reverted to standard.
Dyno Tested
At Devil Developments, on a Golf Mk5 GTI 2.0 TFSI 200ps with a Stage 1 remap: the standard intercooler showed a 46°C intake temperature and 239.7bhp. With Airtec's intercooler fitted, intake temperature dropped to 27°C, with power rising to 253.4bhp.
