Airtec Motorsport Stage 2 Intercooler Upgrade for Citroen DS3
Part of Airtec's expanding Peugeot/Citroen range, this intercooler offers reduced charge temperatures over the original OEM item on the DS3 1.6 turbo — particularly beneficial on remapped examples.
A high-flow, single-pass core design is wider, taller and deeper than the original for a significant increase in frontal area and capacity, while still allowing plenty of airflow to the top of the radiator — important for hotter climates. High-flow, moulded one-piece cast end tanks direct flow efficiently, fitting neatly behind the original bumper with no trimming or cutting, and can be reverted to standard.
Tested
At AmD Tuning, on a test car fitted with a Milltek cat-back exhaust, sports cat, intake system and Stage 2 remap (19°C dyno cell ambient): the standard intercooler showed inlet temperatures of 166-191°C dropping to 99-109°C at the outlet across two runs. Airtec's intercooler showed inlet temperatures of 144-170°C dropping to just 37-46°C across three runs — an average 11bhp increase over the standard intercooler.
