Airtec Motorsport Intercooler Upgrade for Mondeo Mk3 2.0/2.2 Turbo Diesel
A front mount intercooler for the Mondeo Mk3 2.0 and 2.2 turbo diesel, redesigned with a new high-flow 60mm core and angled flow end tanks for gains in power, torque and lower air charge temperature, supplied with full brackets and fittings.
Tested
On a standard car fitted with Airtec's intercooler, gains of 5.2bhp and 31.5lb ft were recorded — figures that roughly double once remapped. On Street Performance's modified Mondeo Diesel (free-flow exhaust and decat, Pipercross panel filter, custom map, and Airtec's intercooler), the car produced 208bhp and 441lb ft. Street Performance's David commented: "Figures are very good, even without map it does 173hp instead of 155hp. With mapping we saw the power rise up to 208hp."
