AIRTEC Motorsport Gear Shift Assembly Ford Focus Mk2 Pre-Facelift ST
This is a full replacement shift assembly rather than a short-shift lever. A heavy-duty spring-loaded mechanism self-centres the lever where the OEM part barely resists, and the travel is adjustable so slack in the shift is taken out completely; AIRTEC quotes a 40 percent reduction in throw against the standard lever. Reverse can only be selected by lifting the collar, any other gear can be locked out for competition use, and the lever sits higher so the change feels more natural. The base and tower are laser-cut 3mm 304 stainless steel, powder coated black, and the top mechanism, lever and gear knob are CNC-machined 7075 aluminium, anodised black or Motorsport Silver. Assembled by hand at AIRTEC. It bolts straight in with no change to the clutch or gearbox, uses the existing cables and linkages, keeps the centre console, and comes with a 3D-scanned FDM-printed surround to cover the lower mechanism.

Please Note
- Pre-facelift ST only. The facelift ST and RS use the separate facelift assembly.
- The shifter needs setting up during fitting and requires periodic maintenance such as lubrication. AIRTEC's fitting instructions cover this.
