Airtec Motorsport Aluminium Under Tray for Mini F56
Part of Airtec's expanding Mini range, this aluminium under tray is a direct replacement for the F56, whose original fibre-material tray is prone to failure over time.
Built from a full 3D scan of the car's underside for an exact fit, it reuses all original mounting points and fixings. Airtec noticed Mini itself reduced the under tray size on the JCW GP4 to expose more of the engine's underside and improve airflow — this replacement follows the same principle, with a large open rear section that actively pulls warm air from behind the radiator, down under the engine and into the low-pressure area below, improving the flow path out of the engine bay and helping reduce running temperatures.
What does an under tray do?
An under tray serves three main purposes: protecting the underside of the car from road debris and impact damage, improving aerodynamics by smoothing airflow underneath the car to reduce drag and improve grip, handling and efficiency, and — on performance models like this one — actively venting cold air to or extracting warm air from the engine bay for extra cooling.
