Airtec Motorsport Aluminium Under Tray for Ford Fiesta ST180
Part of Airtec's expanding Ford range, this under tray fills a gap on the ST180 — these cars don't come with one from the factory, despite the clear benefits, so Airtec built one from durable 2mm aluminium.
It fits using Rivnuts into the existing holes in the front subframe (no drilling needed, though a rivet gun is required), secured with eight fixings for strength. The design spans the full front end for improved aerodynamics, with a large centre scoop directing air up towards the turbo to help manage under-bonnet temperatures at speed, and a smaller scoop feeding the gearbox for transmission cooling. The rear of the tray is also spaced down to encourage airflow through.
What does an under tray do?
An under tray serves three main purposes: protecting the underside of the car from road debris and impact damage, improving aerodynamics by smoothing airflow underneath the car to reduce drag and improve grip, handling and efficiency, and — on performance models like this one — actively venting cold air to or extracting warm air from the engine bay for extra cooling.
