Airtec Motorsport 70mm Top Feed Intercooler Upgrade for 3-Door, Sapphire and Escort Cosworth
Part of Airtec's expanding Cosworth range, this 70mm top-fed core intercooler suits the 3-door Sierra as well as 2WD and 4WD Sapphire and Escort Cosworth models, built to maintain performance during extended hard driving.
A high-flow, single-pass core with 70mm depth offers a significant increase in overall capacity and frontal area over the original, with an air ram scoop forcing air into the core. The top-feed design reduces restriction compared with common RS500-style intercoolers, making it better suited to higher tune levels or heavy track use, and high-flow end tanks direct airflow efficiently. It fits neatly behind the original bumper and can be reverted to standard, using the original inlet and outlet pipes, with an optional fitting kit including uprated polyurethane mounting bushes.

There are a lot of variables in rating any intercooler's power capability, but as a general guide, this 70mm top feed intercooler suits builds up to approximately 550bhp.
