Airtec Motorsport 60mm Core Intercooler Upgrade for Astra Mk5 1.9 Diesel
An intercooler upgrade for the Astra Mk5 1.9 CDTi, particularly beneficial on remapped cars, suited to fast road and even track use — as fitted to Airtec's own demo car.
Tested
At AmD Tuning (Essex, February 2014), a test car fitted with Airtec's intercooler was dyno'd on both the standard map and a Stage 1 remap. On the standard map, intake temperatures of 115-119°C were reduced to just 13-18°C at the outlet across three runs — an average reduction of 101 degrees. On the Stage 1 remap, intake temperatures of 128-136°C were reduced to 19-25°C at the outlet — an average reduction of 108 degrees.
