The Eventuri Carbon Intake for the BMW F10 M5 was developed through extensive dyno testing, maximum velocity testing and flow optimisation. It is a complete system, from the front air ducts through to the filter housings and the inlet tubes to the turbos, reducing resistance by giving the airflow a smooth path to travel through.
At its core are two patent pending carbon fibre Venturi housings, each shrouding a reverse-mounted, high-flow double cone filter. The smooth reduction in cross-sectional area invokes the Venturi effect, accelerating the airflow while maintaining laminar conditions, much like a large velocity stack. From there, 100% prepreg carbon fibre intake tubes with integrated MAF sensor mounts connect the housings to the turbo inlets.
Feeding the system are carbon fibre front scoops, designed to extend from the stock duct openings all the way to the grills. Shaped to the same contours as the outsides of the grills, they smoothly channel ambient air through a continuous curve to the duct openings. Laser cut aluminium shields with integrated flow deflectors then displace hot air from around the filter openings, keeping intake air temperatures low. The scoops snap onto the existing strut brace for simple installation.
