The Eventuri Carbon Intake for the Audi 8Y RS3 follows on from the 8V system, with fitment updated for the 8Y platform. Catering for all power levels from stock to builds exceeding 1000whp, it has been developed to offer the highest possible flow rate whilst maintaining the lowest possible intake temperatures - with every component providing the turbo with a smooth, free flowing path, and the entire system in 100% prepreg carbon fibre with no fibreglass for smooth internal surfaces.
The patented Venturi housing provides the maximum internal volume possible in the RS3 engine bay and delivers laminar flow to the 103mm (4") internal diameter intake tube, paired with a bespoke dry filter with a huge 210mm (8.3") outer diameter and over 130,000mm² of filtration surface area. The duct seals the filter opening to the front slam panel, with a lifted front section providing an extra opening behind the bonnet equivalent to an additional 7" diameter feed. The sealed system flows 840 CFM at 28" H₂O - up to 58% more than the stock airbox on the flow bench - and back-to-back dyno testing by MSL Performance on a stock 8Y RS3 showed measurable gains throughout the rev range of up to 22hp, with sharper throttle response and quicker acceleration on the road.
