We’ve built another Honda S2000 Race Car
If you’ve been following us for a while, you’ll know we’re no strangers to the Honda S2000 as a race car platform. Back in February we published a full feature on Tegiwa’s first S2000 Cup build, covering everything from the controlled parts package to the Yokohama Advan-inspired livery. We’re not going to retread that ground here, if you want the detail, head over and read it.
What we are here to tell you is that we’ve just finished building another one.
The car is built to the same S2000 Cup specification as before, same controlled parts list, same philosophy of keeping the competition down to driver skill rather than budget. As the team putting these cars together and supplying the parts that go into them, we know this platform inside out.

One thing that sets this build apart is the livery. We chose to celebrate our position as the Official UK & European Distributor for Mugen, and we think it’s a fitting canvas for it. So why build another car? Because we want to use it to support the next generation of Racing Hondas Championship drivers, and that starts with the Tegiwa Scholarship.
The Tegiwa Scholarship
The Tegiwa Scholarship is our way of putting a funded drive within reach of drivers who wouldn’t necessarily have a route onto the grid. One successful candidate walks away with an arrive-and-drive package worth over £40,000 for the full 2027 Racing Hondas Championship season, this comprises of the use of a race car, entry fees, tyres, fuel, race suit and helmet.
There’s no experience requirement. The scholarship is open to track day drivers, sim racers, grassroots competitors and people who have never raced at all. What we’re looking for is potential, not a CV.
Assessment days take place at Blyton Park on 13th and 14th October 2026, with the top twelve candidates progressing to the Scholarship Final on 15th October. The assessment covers on-track driving with coaching from experienced motorsport professionals, including current BTCC driver Josh Cook, as well as media, fitness and data modules. Every single participant receives professional driver feedback and a Tegiwa Sponsorship Account regardless of the outcome, so there’s something in it for everyone who enters.
Entry is just £695, or we offer a range of payment plans on our website too. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
