A heavy-duty spring-loaded mechanism self-centres the lever where the OEM part barely resists, and the travel is adjustable so slack in the shift is taken out completely; AIRTEC quotes a 40 percent reduction in throw against the standard lever. Reverse can only be selected by lifting the collar, any other gear can be locked out for competition use, and the lever sits higher so the change feels more natural. The base and tower are laser-cut 3mm 304 stainless steel, powder coated black, and the top mechanism, lever and gear knob are CNC-machined 7075 aluminium in Motorsport Silver or Anodised Black. Assembled by hand at AIRTEC.
