As a result, it reuses all the original fixings and mounting points plus five extra fixings, offering improved strength and protection for the underside of the car.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe design itself spans across the entire front end to help improve aero dynamics by ensuring air flow under the car is less disrupted whilst ground clearance is unaffected, which benefits lowered vehicles. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe twin-duct design that directs air towards the gearbox is the same as the original under tray, but we’ve now added a third duct to direct air to the transfer box in an effort to improve transmission and drivetrain cooling. To encourage air flow to pass through, the under tray also features two large vents to help hot air find a way out of the engine bay.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFinished in a high-quality black powder coat finish, the under tray offers improved durability and cooling effectiveness.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhat does an under tray do?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe under tray has three main purposes: to protect the underside of the vehicle from foreign objects flicking up and causing damage or accelerated wear. Secondly, to improve aerodynamics by creating a low pressure area as air accelerates past its smooth surface. This reduces drag, which works towards improving grip, handling as well as fuel efficiency.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLastly, on performance models, the under tray often provides increased cooling by either venting cold air to, or extracting warm air from the engine bay.
