We selected one of our staff members cars, a 1999 Honda Civic Type R EK9 featuring the legendary B16B engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tegiwaimports.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Tegiwa-BSeries-ExhaustManifold-5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"670\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tegiwaimports.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Tegiwa-BSeries-ExhaustManifold-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8424\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tegiwa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Tegiwa-BSeries-ExhaustManifold-5.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.tegiwa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Tegiwa-BSeries-ExhaustManifold-5-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tegiwa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Tegiwa-BSeries-ExhaustManifold-5-768x515.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The test car was relatively stock with just a couple of tasteful modifications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tegiwa carbon intake<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spoon Sports N1 back box exhaust<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This gave us the perfect baseline to isolate the performance gains from our exhaust manifold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dyno Results: The Numbers Don&#8217;t Lie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before we fitted the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tegiwa.com\/products\/tegiwa-exhaust-manifold-header-civic-integra-b-series\">Tegiwa exhaust manifold<\/a><\/strong>, we strapped the EK9 to our dyno to get some baseline figures. The car made a very healthy 196.5bhp &#8211; already impressive for a well-maintained B16B.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2
