JAE was the most anticipated Japanese car event of 2013, the closing show for the season. Leading up to the show, weather reports gave out heavy rain and wind speeds of up to 50mph across Kettering. Waterproofs, umbrellas, boots, tents and sleeping bags were packed and before we knew it, Team Tegiwa were well on our way to Wicksteed Park. Upon arrival on the Friday afternoon, the weather was promising staying both dry and warm allowing us to crack open the beers, pop the stand and tents up and get ready to ‘chillax’ around the BBQ!<\/p>\n

Later that evening the rain came, but not to worry, amongst good company, beer and food, the weekend looked to be great! After a cold and wet night, Saturday had dry and rainy patches with evening sun making a strong appearance at which point both Johnny and myself (Oli) ventured across the event to take photos, most of which you can view below.<\/p>\n

This EG really caught our eye. Outstanding original condition inside and out. The owner seemed really chuffed with the car he had every right to be!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This Datsun 260z was \u00dcber cool. A real JDM classic, not to be forgotten!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Milano Red DC5’s are a rare sight.. This particular one was rocking a Skunk2 decal in the windscreen. Rep it!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A fine selection of Jordan Civic’s bringing some much needed brightness to the more gloomy part of Saturday.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This turbo’d Jordan Civic had a Skunk2 Intake Manifold fitted and a custom exhaust manifold which looked awesome!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Skunk2 MegaPower fitted to this Jordan Civic. Other top notch mods included bronze Volk Te37’s. Yellow Car with Bronze Volks are a winning combination.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

There was no shortage of S2000’s as owners came out to play over the weekend.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Ings+1 wing made this S2000 stand out from the others at JAE. Simple modifications but very effective.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This FN2 wore Mugen brakes, rolled on Mugen GP wheels, Mugen full bodykit and rear wing, with Mugen Assist Meters complimenting the interior.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Cosmic Grey EP3 fitted with Spoon Calipers and Advan wheels dressed with Bridgestone Potenza’s. A setup worthy of Tsukuba Circuit.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Looking around classics such as this Celica GT and you can really see how cars of this era in Japan were inspired by American Muscle.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Stripped track Spec DC2. Slayer of many. Period.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"Here<\/a>
Here is something you don’t see everyday. The Dakar inspired Mitsubishi Pajero. The owner of this has just had the engine fully rebuilt and travelled all the way from Glasgow to show this fine example off at JAE.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This Evo VII on stand with ‘Clan Japan’ had some excellent tuning mods combined with flawless exterior.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This R33 GTR sat on Old Skool Nismo rims. The Purple & Gold theme extended through to the engine bay and is a killer colour combo!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This Hydro’s EK was seen i various locations around the JAE camp over the weekend. Awesome attention to detail, not to mention the cool tricks up it’s arches.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

One for the Drift Fans.. This R33 wore extended wide arches attached via rivets to accommodate the staggered wheels.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The ‘Shoot All Ballers’ Stand was home to some impressive Jap metal for the weekend.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This EG owned by Benny was on the Shoot All Ballers stand. Window nets and helmet nets were a fresh sight on a track inspired road legal Honda.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Bayside Blue Skyline R34 GTR. To any real petrol head, this is a car on the list of dream cars to own. It is certainly on our list! Perfection.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Tegiwa imported this car not so long ago for Dave Turville. Unlike most S15 owners, Dave has built this to be a fast road \/ track car. Dave puts the car to good use on the N\u00fcrburgring and as you can see, the car has some real presence.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
