We knew we were in for an exciting weekend with a large crowd expected at the Go Japan show as well as nail-biting action in the final <a href=\"http:\/\/www.typertrophy.co.uk\/\"><strong>Tegiwa Type R Trophy<\/strong><\/a> meeting of the season too.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Tegiwa Type R Trophy Championship - Brands Hatch - 26.09.2021\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/157701376@N08\/albums\/72157719918716076\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\" data-header=\"true\" data-footer=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51523862929_21272e3ee3_z.jpg\" alt=\"Tegiwa Type R Trophy Championship - Brands Hatch - 26.09.2021\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Not only did we have 2 cars providing plenty of action on track, we also had our trade stand setup too! Our <strong>BTCC DC5<\/strong> was on display, which unsurprisingly went down a treat and drew in the crowds. Eager to smash his PB from earlier in the season, Mike took to the track for his warmup session, but it didn\u2019t go quite as planned. After the first lap, Mike went into Paddock Hill a little bit too quick with tyres that weren\u2019t fully up to temperature. Equipped with several rolls of Gaffer tape and plenty of cable ties, the Tegiwa chaps set about doing a quick repair to get Mike back out for the rest of the day. He absolutely pulled it out of the bag in the final session of the day, breaking into the 54\u2019s with a 54.971 to take his first proper victory of the season!
