If you’ve checked out our recent cars that we’ve imported from Japan, there’s a good chance that you’ll have noticed that they have arrived wearing a set of Yokohama Advan Sport V107 tyres. This tells us one thing, if the Japanese are choosing to use these, they must be good. After all, they are meticulous for caring and getting the most out of their vehicles.

The V107 positions itself as a high performance tyre designed for the road and it shows the moment you start driving on them. With an exclusive tread pattern, Yokohama have designed it from the group up to deliver precise steering and confident cornering, even at high speed. The high-rigidity shoulder plays a key role, as speed increases, the tyre is able to maintain its shape and grip which ensures that the connection between you and the road stays sharp.

Yokohama has engineered the V107 with variable width circumferential grooves in the tread, using wide 3+1 main grooves specifically designed to resist hydroplaning at speed. When the weather changes, as it often does here in the UK, the V107 handles it with composure and confidence.

Enkei RPT1

Since the introduction of the RPF1 back in 2002, truck and SUV owners have been calling out for an RPF1 to be designed for them. Enkei took note and gave them the RPT1, which features the same split-spoke design but is manufactured to suit higher load ratings and 6 hole PCD’s. Available in 16, 17 or 18 inch applications, the RPT1 is one of the lightest and toughest truck wheels available on the market today.

Enkei NT03+M

Next up from the racing series of wheels is the NT03+M. There have been different versions of these throughout the years, but the latest design is now only available in an 18 inch diameter.

The unique feature of these wheels is the perimeter brace ring that is there to improve the strength and rigidity of the wheel. This means that it’s able to resist deformities or distortion from outside forces which directly translates into an improved steering response. With weights starting from just 8.39kg, this is one of the stronger yet lightest offerings in Enkei’s range.

Enkei NT03RR

Enkei RS05RR

Joining the Racing Revolution lineup is the unmistakeable RS05RR. This is Enkei’s answer to enthusiasts who want their wheels to make an immediate visual impact while delivering the engineering excellence the brand is known for.

The RS05RR’s fifteen spoke design is deliberately dramatic. Each spoke features sharp, angular lines and aggressive sculpting that creates intense visual depth and movement. What is the SCX steering wheel hub?

Before we start telling you about all the amazing new features, let’s explain what this product is and the problems it solves. If you are the lucky owner of a fairly new performance vehicle, chances are that there’s loads of controls and buttons on the OEM steering wheel. If you want to swap the OE wheel out for an aftermarket wheel then you’re going to lose all the functionality like the ability to control audio, cruise control and on BMW’s, the all important M button.

The SCX enables you to install an aftermarket steering wheel whilst retaining all of these controls, programming them to whichever button takes your fancy and illuminating it in a choice of over 16 million RGB colours. There’s also a load more features now thanks to the SCX, so let’s dive right in and have a look at them.

What’s new?

The first that you’ll notice is the hybrid carbon fibre composite that’s crafted with a groundbreaking material formula that’s stronger, more durable and inherently flame-retardant.

The buttons have been re-designed after feedback from the OEM hub where some users fed back that they struggled to tell if they’d actually pressed it. After dozens of prototypes, there’s now a multi-stage tactile button with 2.25mm of travel that provides the most precise and satisfying feeling when pressed, especially useful for those that will be wearing racing gloves.

One thing that makes the Zestek hub so great is the paddles. These have been re-designed to achieve the most optimal actuation feel and travel. There’s also now 15 degrees of adjustability so you can fine-tune them to your exact liking. For those manual drivers, you can program the paddles to whichever function you want. In our Civic FL5 we programmed these to the horn, which was pretty amusing!

One of the main features, and arguably the most exciting, is the addition of the new shift lights which can be set at multiple stages throughout the rev range. These can be programmed to function in a number of ways, (sequential, all-lit, or converging) easily in the new Zestek configurator.

Another great feature is the addition of the smart lights, which feature 4 or 8 different stages depending on how you choose to set them up. These act as a virtual dashboard that visualise live vehicle data directly from the OBD module so you can easily see parameters like coolant, oil, or intake temperatures. This is an absolute game changer when using your car on the track!

The all-new Velolink system is a powerful ecosystem thats is an innovative seamless wireless technology developed exclusively by Zestek. This empowers you to achieve anything you can think of and will support up to 6 wireless expansion modules with auto-pairing so no manual setup will be needed. Included in the box is a OBDII module which can access any data and support firmware updates.

There’ll be a BCM and LCM module that will be released later in the year and these will support dozens of functions that can be controlled directly from the hub.

How easy is it to install?

Installation is straight forward, especially when using our handy how-to guide. To give an example, we installed a Zestek SCX hub onto a F87 BMW M2 in just 45 minutes. The actual configuration of the buttons will take a while longer as there’s so many different options to choose from, and chances are you’ll change these as you begin to use your new setup. However, the new Zestek work station is so easy to use. We suggest sitting in the car with your laptop and the wheel in front of you. Programming the buttons is live, so there’s no waiting for your setup to sync or anything like that.

Thanks to its formula, Halo P1 is incompressible over the widest temperature range and boasts a stable pedal feel from the first lap to the last, especially important in endurance racing. This helps boost driver confidence by eliminating a spongy pedal feel, therefore allowing quicker lap times and podium finishes.

In this blog we’re going to have a look at what really makes Halo P1 so much better than the rest and why motorsport teams from all over the globe are using it.

Purity

Crafted using the purest methyl borate ester which goes through a proprietary multi-step purification process before beginning the reaction process. Impurities degrade performance, reduce the boiling point, and create instability at high temperatures. That is is why they are removed.

The Highest Boiling Point

The purity of Halo P1 allows it to reach an extremely high boiling point of 646°F / 341°C. This means that Halo P1 is able to achieve and maintain a consistent performance up to the highest racing temperatures.

Low Compressibility

Featuring Fade Resistant Technology, Halo P1 is a highly polar fluid. Polar molecules don’t like to occupy the same space, and so resist being compressed. This makes Halo P1 extremely incompressible across a wide temperature range which gives a very stable pedal feel throughout a race.

We hit the ground running in January, returning to the NEC for Autosport International. It wasn’t just about shaking hands with new brands and catching up with our trade network; it was a statement of intent. We had Tsuki, our NSX, taking centre stage on the stand, serving as the perfect backdrop for a major announcement: Tegiwa becoming the official supplier of Yokohama control tyres for both the Time Attack and Racing Hondas series.

As the motorsport season started to get back underway, we didn’t just supply parts – we got behind the wheel. The 750MC Swift Sport Challenge launched its first ever season, a budget-friendly championship we were proud to support by supplying the control parts. Our very own Connor Craven jumped into the fray in his first ever season of wheel-to-wheel racing, and securing a fantastic 3rd place finish overall in a highly competitive grid.

In fact, our commitment to UK motorsport was bigger than ever. By the time the season was in full swing, we were sponsoring six major championships: Swift Sport Challenge, Type R Trophy, Club Enduro, Roadsports, Time Attack, and Racing Hondas.

In April, we decided to have a little fun. Our April Fools’ reveal of a Civic Type R FL5 Wagon might have been a prank, but the desire for it was very real. The concept went absolutely viral, reaching nearly half a million users across social media. While the car doesn’t exist, the comments section proved that if Honda ever builds it, you lot will buy it.

Summer brought a new challenge. In June, our high-mileage (316,000km) Toyota GT86 landed from Japan. Having sold our Evo 9 RS earlier in the year, we needed a new weapon for the rally stage. Over the next four months, the team transformed it into a wide-bodied rally monster, now sporting a built K25 engine from 4 Piston Racing. Speaking of rallying, we also doubled down on our support by sponsoring two rally events at Donington Park!

Throughout the end of the Summer, we’d been working closely with Racing Hondas behind the scenes to develop the S2000R, a machine built for the inaugural S2000 Cup launching next year. We finally lifted the covers at Donington Park in August, and the reception was incredible. We are currently building another S2000R for 2026, and you might even spot us on the grid at the first round of the Racing Hondas Championship at Silverstone next year.

It wasn’t all about competition though; it was about community too. We hosted four Cars & Coffee events at Tegiwa HQ, creating a safe environment for enthusiasts to meet up and in doing so, raising £750 for Prostate Cancer UK. We also took to the road, attending seven major shows including Japfest, where we hosted the team from Weds Wheels to show them exactly how the UK scene gets down.

Away from the office, Tsuki, our 700bhp Honda NSX, had its most successful season ever. We secured the 2025 Pro Class Time Attack Championship, and we didn’t just win; we smashed the lap record at every single round we attended!

“Resting on our laurels” isn’t in our vocabulary. We expanded our catalogue even further this year, getting 14 major new brands listed on Tegiwa.com, including Kelford Cams, Liqui Moly, and Adro. In real terms, that meant adding a staggering 81,013 new products to the website in 2025 alone.

We shipped orders to 107 different countries, proving the car scene truly has no borders. As for what you were buying? The most popular item was the Yokohama A052, a testament to its grip on the market (and the tarmac), while Genuine Honda remains the undisputed king of our brand sales.

We were also busy curating the finest metal Japan has to offer. We imported a grand total of 22 cars this year, ranging from the super rare Toyota GR Corolla to a time-capsule, low-mileage Civic EP3 that had covered just 8,000 miles, and of course, a whole fleet of Honda Acty’s. While our 2025 Track Day Tyre Test was the most viewed video, one of the highlights of the year was undoubtedly getting behind the wheel of a 1,150 horsepower race lorry. In total, our channel racked up over 600,000 views!

Finally, we loved giving back to the community that supports us. We ran seven competitions throughout the year, handing out a total of £20,500 in site credit. The stock wheels, simply weren’t doing justice to the TRD parts that were installed on the car. That’s when we reached out to our friends at Weds Wheels, and they delivered exactly what we needed.

The Perfect Upgrade: Weds Maverick 905S

The solution came in the form of a set of Weds Maverick 905S wheels – a stunning 2-piece split rim design that perfectly balances form and function. The wheels feature a gunmetal grey face paired with polished lips, creating a finish that complements the GT86’s pearl white paintwork beautifully.

For the fitment, we opted for 18×8.5 ET42 all round, a specification that fills the arches perfectly while maintaining the car’s balanced stance. The result is a wheel setup that looks like it rolled straight out of a Japanese tuning magazine.

New Rubber

Of course, new wheels need new tyres, and we weren’t about to compromise on this crucial component. We called in a favour from our friends at Yokohama, who helped us out with a set of Advan Sport V107’s in 235/40/18.

The Advan Sport V107 is a high-performance road tyre that strikes the perfect balance for Rich’s requirements. These tyres offer excellent grip and handling characteristics for spirited road driving while providing the durability and performance needed for those upcoming track days.
