Last week, we hit a massive milestone: our 20th anniversary! To celebrate two decades of Tegiwa, we wanted to do something special to give back to the incredible community and the people who have supported us along the way. So, we gathered our customers, staff, suppliers, and friends for an unforgettable day at Blyton Park.

To top it all off, the sun was out, and we were treated to absolutely glorious weather all day long.

Action on the Track

At the heart of the event was our invite-only track day, featuring a fantastic, diverse mix of customer cars, dedicated race cars, and vehicles from some of our key suppliers.

The driving standards were absolutely impeccable. We are incredibly proud to say that there were no flags all day – a true testament to the respect and camaraderie out there. The track sessions were packed with nothing but good vibes, and passenger rides were a plenty, giving everyone a chance to experience the thrill and share the track together.

The Paddock and Static Display

We couldn’t keep the celebration entirely to ourselves, so we opened the gates to the general public for a massive static display. The turnout was phenomenal, with a huge variety of cars filling the paddock. A massive shoutout goes to the Official Honda NSX Owners Club, who brought along a stunning pair of NSXs that naturally drew lots of attention!

It was brilliant to catch up with familiar faces and meet new ones as everyone walked around admiring the builds.

Our Trade Village

We were incredibly lucky to be joined by some of the biggest names in the industry. A huge thank you to our suppliers who set up trade stands and spent the day chatting with attendees:

Tsuki Takes the Track

Of course, a Tegiwa track day wouldn’t be complete without Tsuki. She went out for some exclusive demo laps, and while she wasn’t running at absolute full pace, she sounded unbelievable.

We used the day to fine-tune her setup following an extensive winter build.

• Zestek Racing CAN steering wheel hub
• Kelford Stage 1 Turbo Cams

The shakedown laps were a huge success, and we can’t wait to see what she can do when we finally unleash her full potential.

Whether you were out on track, showing off your car in the static display, working a trade stand, or simply came along to soak up the atmosphere – thank you! The last 20 years wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of our community.

One of the highlights of our time at Autosport International was the fantastic opportunity to meet up with numerous customers within the Tegiwa dealer network. Connecting face-to-face with those who share our passion for all petrol-fuelled related topics is awesome! These interactions not only strengthened existing relationships but also opened doors for exciting collaborations in the future.

The event wasn’t just a reunion; it was also an exploration of cutting-edge products and emerging trends. We engaged with a number of new companies and suppliers, each showcasing their latest and most exciting offerings. From groundbreaking technologies to innovative designs, we were left inspired and motivated by the sheer creativity that permeates the automotive world.

In the spirit of unveiling the future, we proudly revealed Tsuki’s striking new livery at Autosport International. The design garnered attention from many automotive enthusiasts over the course of the four days the show was on.

That’s not all – we took the opportunity to launch our brand new website; www.tegiwa.com.  Our new site aims to provide customers with an even better online experience when buying their car parts. The website mirrors our commitment to innovation both on and off the track, offering a seamless interface for all automotive aficionados. As we strolled through the exhibition, our booth was a magnet for enthusiasts eager to witness firsthand the best parts the industry has to offer. We proudly displayed an array of products from esteemed brands such as WedsSport, Apex, MFactory, OMP, and many more. From high-performance wheels to cutting-edge suspension systems, our showcase was a testament to the diversity and quality that define the automotive aftermarket.

In a moment that added even more excitement to our Autosport International experience, we proudly revealed the 2024 driver line-up for the Racing Hondas Championship. This year is particularly special as Tegiwa has generously funded all 34 places on the grid.

From sleek and aerodynamic race cars to custom-built masterpieces, the array of cars that were on display was nothing short of spectacular and we can’t wait to do it all again next year!

With the perfect venue in place, we focused on ticket sales. To offer a seamless experience, we offered pre-sale entry tickets on our website, and every early purchaser was automatically entered into a raffle for a chance to win a complimentary OMP steering wheel. We were delighted to congratulate John Collier as the lucky winner, which we proudly announced on our social media platforms a few days before the event. Remarkably, we sold over 260 pre-sale tickets—an outstanding achievement!

Tickets were also available on the gate too, with plenty of you guys turning up on the day which was great to see. With all performance cars welcome, we had a huge variety of cars on display!

Our sponsor area was a hub of activity, showcasing esteemed Tegiwa brand representatives, including James’ immaculate  S14 and Owen’s EP3, freshly adorned with a striking Tegiwa wrap. Special recognition goes to Owen, who traveled five hours to join us!

As expected, Ibi’s magnificent Lexus LFA made a grand appearance, drawing in the masses.

The Tegiwa Racing drift team, comprised of the seasoned Ian ‘Bizz’ Phillips and talented Andy ‘Iceman’ Frost, mesmerised the crowd with breathtaking drift demonstrations. Bizz’s supercharged LS3 350Z was shredding tyres for fun, whilst Andy’s S14 was quite literally bringing the heat.

We were also joined in attendance by our friends at Nankang and Milltek Sport in the trade area. Nankang presented an impressive tyre range alongside a stunning V10 Audi S6, while Milltek showcased their Golf GTI and Fiesta ST, both equipped with Milltek exhausts. Completing their lineup was our FL5, along with a display of their latest exhaust system development!

When we first started doing these events we never thought we’d fill our car park, let alone a whole air field, so we are truly humbled by everybody who attended. No matter whether you were in a Lamborghini or a Micra, it was amazing to meet so many of you and put on an unforgettable show.

With our showroom boxed up, we loaded it into our lorry along with our new Civic FL5 and Tsuki, our K22 turbocharged Honda NSX and headed to the Northamptonshire drag circuit late on Monday evening.

An early start saw us get the stand setup and put into position ready for a very busy day ahead. We had a variety of products on display from the likes of WedsSport, Yellow Speed Racing, Wiseco, Competition Clutch, Pagid Racing, OMP and many, many more.

Our cars were also drawing in the crowds too. It just so happened that where we’d parked Tsuki, next to the Petrolheadonism stand, there was also another NA1 NSX lining up next to ours. It was pretty incredible to see the differences with them parked side by side. We were big fans of the BBS LM’s that this one sat on too!

Alongside our cars and product displays we were also giving out some free Coilovers.co.uk air fresheners and flyers with an exclusive show discount code on too (the code is still live until midnight tonight by the way!)

Of course, we couldn’t travel all the way to Santa Pod Raceway and not have a go at any drag racing. Unfortunately, Tsuki wasn’t ready to post any 1/4 times due to some technical issues but Tegiwa director and resident racing driver, Luke Sedzikowski, stepped up to the pass in his Porsche Taycan Turbo S. The electric powered Porsche was obviously greeted to a round of boo’s at it lined up, encouraged by none other than Jamie from Officially Gassed. That didn’t deter look decimating his opponents though. With 4 passes driven throughout the day and a best time of 10.6 seconds, Luke was buzzing that he’d got himself a 10 second car!

Around the show it was clear before we arrived that there wasn’t going to be a shortage of supercars.

However, it was mega to pick out an abundance of performance Japanese metal including some very spicy Honda’s dotted around too. After all, DMO does love a bit of VTEC!

It was also great to meet new faces in the industry too like the chaps from Auto ID as well as catching up with old friends like Phil from Milltek Sport and James from Liberty Walk.

We thought that the show was a real game changer in terms of a shift in car culture here in the UK. With the feeling that many shows seem to have become a bit stale over time. We really enjoyed the variety of cars that were on display, and there was always something different going on. At one point we were watching the likes of DMO, Yiannimize and Digga D dropping the tunes on stage, whilst a jet car was ripping up the drag strip behind us, all whilst the echo’s of V12’s were giving it big licks during rev off!

Finally, you will have no doubt seen our unfortunate disaster that happened on the M1 on our journey home across social media. Luckily, our team are all safe and the cars will be live to see another day, even if they are a bit smokey! Thanks to everybody that sent us a messaged or got in contact with us, we really appreciate it.

We had a huge range of products on display, showcasing a little bit of everything that we have to offer at Tegiwa. These included parts from Skunk2 Racing, Garmin, OMP, Yellow Speed Racing, WedsSport, Exedy, Competition Clutch and many, many more!

Of course, Tsuki, our Honda NSX was the highlight of our stand. She was sporting some of her new aero package too that we’ve been busy working on through the winter. The spoiler was actually borrowed from her sister endurance NSX that we’re currently building! These consisted of:

• Ruskiweldfab carbon boot lid
• Ruskiweldfab carbon one-piece rear lights
• AMB Aero / Ruskiweldfab carbon diffuser
• Tegiwa / DJ Racecars carbon Club Enduro rear wing (this will eventually be used on our endurance NSX and Tsuki will get an even bigger AMB Aero wing!)

To help draw in the crowds, we also had the pleasure of Holly, Jess and Sabrina working on our stand throughout the weekend. They were signing Tsuki posters, giving out booklets and meeting as many of you guys as possible!

A big shoutout to Holly too, who absolutely smashed the PBS Brakes challenge. The aim of the game was to hop into a race car and buckle the harnesses up as fast as you could. Being an air hostess, naturally saw Holly demolish all the other race drivers times as she jumped in and got fastened up in a mere 13 seconds!

Away from the Tegiwa stand, we had one of our FNduro builds on display over at 750MC. It was great to see so many people showing an interest in the Club Enduro foundation programme for 2023.

It was also a mega opportunity to check out what some of the other brands and friends that we supply were getting up to as well. Check out ITG filters stand complete with an eye catching Aston Martin Valkyrie!

ARP had an awesome display featuring a plethora of all the bolts and fasteners that they produce.

Check out Baggsy’s R35 GTR that was sat pretty on the Funk Motorsport stand, complete with an enormous Garrett Turbo protected by a Funk turbo blanket!

DH Racing were representing the Type R Trophy championship with their latest EP3 build. This was super clean and grabbed plenty of attention.

As always, Autosport International enables us to draw in new brands across our websites so make sure you keep an eye out in the coming months for the latest additions that we’re excited to bring you! Here’s a little teaser for now; AMR Motorsport’s wireless scale set. These scales set the market standard with M1 ISO calibration providing certified accuracy to 0.01% of applied load and incremental weight values of 0.1kg compared to the 0.5kg of our competitors.

Working at Tegiwa, it can be quite easy for us to forget what a truly special car the Honda NSX is, so after the NSX owners had visited our garage to take a look around our race car, we saw them head out onto the circuit for a few laps of their own.

It certainly didn’t take us long to realize what a special occasion we were witnessing when we saw a parade of Honda NSX’s driven by like minded enthusiasts coming round Graham Hill Bend and making their way up through Surtees and around clearways. It’s not everyday that you see such an iconic car, let alone a group of over 10 all in close proximity to each other.

For the majority of people in the automotive world, Autosport International marks the start of the automotive calendar for them. Based at the enormous National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, it’s primarily a motorsport trade show for us at Tegiwa but also features plenty of performance and modified cars too.

Let’s start with a look around our trade stand. Our NSX unsurprisingly made the trip to Autosport with us and sat pride of place in the corner of the stand. Many of you guys came and saw it and checked out it’s Skunk2 K24 power plant in person, along with its new fluorescent yellow cam cover.

We had a selection of wheels on display from WedsSport, Enkei, Apex and Titan7.

A case of stopping power products featured from PBS, Pagid, Motul, Ferodo and AP Racing.

Our steering wheels also caught the attention of many passers-by, credit to Personal and Nardi for that.

The stand simply wouldn’t be complete without showing off the Yellow Speed Racing range. From our ever-popular Dynamic Pro Sports all the way up to the Advanced Pro Plus Racing coilovers and one of our big brake kits too, it was good to see so many people engaging with the products and brand.

It was mega to be able to put a face to the names of people that we regularly chat to over the internet and likewise meet so many new customers and dealers too. We had a few meetings over the duration of the show with some exciting brands that we’re keen to be able to offer. Although we won’t say too much about what or who these new brands are (we’re still to finalising the details) you can rest assured that our brands page will be growing stronger and stronger this year. Make sure you like our social media pages to keep up to date for announcements on new brands!

The cars

ASI features a vast array of different cars, from classic F1 cars, to Liberty Walk supercars and home-built machines, there truly is something for everybody to enjoy. Here’s a bit of a journey through the show through the lens of my camera, cherry-picking the cars that caught my eye.

If you’re a big fan of the BTCC, then there’s tonnes of stuff here for you. From the classics to the modern day era and the latest driver announcements, the halls of the NEC are scattered with BTCC goodness.

There was also this awesome Calsonic Group A R32 Nissan Skyline, that still competes today!

The latest build for the upcoming Type R Trophy season was on display on the 750 Motor Club stand, courtesy of Rob Baker at Area Motorsport. Although we’ve not seen it in action yet, it sure does look pretty fast with it’s new livery!

Into rally cars? There were a couple of Colin McRae’s old cars knocking about too as well as a classic 555 Impreza!

Or maybe Formula 1 is your thing? Well, there was plenty of highlights on that front too.

This past Sunday we were up bright and early for Mimms, leaving Tegiwa HQ at 6am to get set up for our first ‘show’ show in a long time. With a van packed full of displays, tents and freebies, we made a b-line for 3 Sisters Race Circuit for Mimms North – kindly hosted by the Mimms Honda Day crew.

If you saw our stand, which was pretty hard to miss, you’ll hopefully be seeing a lot more as we’re planning on hitting up a few more shows this year. Thanks to those that come and said hi, and we hope you enjoyed the prize-wheel that our main man WestLowLife hosted.

It was great to see interest in our upcoming K-series turbo kit we demo’d, these will be ready for pre-order soon. The EP3 felt great on the trip over, we can’t wait to see them fitted on your cars!

There were some absolutely beautiful builds out there, in all sorts of styles, as well as Honda’s through the ages, from our own FK8 to rad little first generation Civic’s and Prelude’s. But all in all it was great seeing what everyone was up too, and loads of you wanted to chat to us about achieving your goal – which we are incredibly humbled by.

We love seeing the work you guys put in, showing off incredible variety  and personality all across the field. Whether you’re looking to fly down the 1/4 mile, beat lap times or make your ride stand out the rest, Mimms is a rad place to meet likewise enthusiasts and get a real insight into the Honda community.

Hopefully you all had as much fun as we did, and for those offs and faults on track we hope you come back bigger and stronger next time, it was a lovely day for all of us. We regularly hold end of month meets here at TEGIWA HQ, and they prove to be very popular within the Honda crowd in the UK…

These meets are headed by a relatively new group, Stoke based Honda enthusiasts the VTEC Junkies. Who have seen massive growth in the time they have been active, and September marks the anniversary of their group. Making our upcoming meet at the end of this month a particularly special one!

The group has expanded across the country of the past few months with members travelling from as far as Leeds and London to come to the meets here at TEGIWA HQ. Their Facebook page has reached 1,200 members strong now, and they’ve begun branching out to differing meets across the midlands including famed MFN – as well as smaller meets in the area at venues like Trentham Gardens.

Aiming to grow the local scene, the VTEC Junkies have been a positive influence with in the culture – happy to help out other aspiring builders and throw tips and tricks to those who need it.

The last end of month meet was special however, September marks the first anniversary of the inception of VTEC Junkies. So to celebrate we once again opened up Tegiwa HQ to the masses and the Junkies admins gave out some awards. It’s always a treat seeing a community come together, and with these guys its close to home as we all share the same passion. Seeing that celebrated, even if it is monthly, is lovely to see. There’s always a great atmosphere, a friendly crowd and fun to be had.

We also see some lovely Hondas roll through the gates, and this month was no different. A nice variety showed up, showing many slices of the Honda community both modern and classic. Including this awesome Del Sol with a EG front end, built by hand on a driveway, the attention to detail on this was great – a really top notch build from top to bottom.

Connor, resident Admin in the Junkies has been making steady progress on his CRX – showing off his handiwork (and his BBK) next to our FK8. Really giving you an idea of how style has changed over the past 20 odd years.

Another belter was this EP, colour coded from the bay to the interior, little touches like this make a build stand out something fierce and was definitely getting a lot of attention throughout the meet.

So we want to say congrats to the winners; Ash and his EK for Best Build, Kyle for Junkie of the Year and Wayne for Car of the Day! Without all of you the Honda community wouldn’t be the same. Thank you for popping down, we very much look forward to the next one as always and we can’t wait to see what you folks bring down.
