Waxing season is now well and truly upon us, so we’re going to introduce you to some of the Soft99 products that are designed to suit everyones needs. This makes it a perfect time to remind you of how important it is to prepare the paintwork thoroughly so that when you apply the wax it will have a better bond and make for a much better finish on your paint.

One of the first steps in the process of thoroughly cleaning your car. Iron Terminator works not only on your wheels but also on paint and plastic wheel arches to remove the most stubborn ferrous contaminants. Simply spray the product onto the required area and watch it turn to a dark red colour as it reacts with iron particles, brake dusts and corrosive deposits. Iron Terminator is one of the least odorous products of its kind on the market which is a godsend as these products often come with a terrible smell.

Road tar? Tree resin? Sticker glue or maybe bugs splattered all over your car? New Pitch Cleaner is one of the most effective and at the same time, safest tar and glue removal agents. It works wonders during the decontamination process, but is also a great product to use on a daily basis, dissolving even the most persistent dirt. This is one of the easiest products to use thanks to it aerosol type application which allows for quick and easy use, even on large surfaces. Simply spray the product onto the surface and leave for 2-3 minutes before removing the residue with a microfibre and rinsing the area.

Dried tar, bugs or dirt can accumulate in some of the cars many crevices and requires a strong, but safe-to-use agent to break down the dirt that a regular shampoo can’t. Stain Cleaner will handle even the most stubborn dirt without leaving any unwanted marks. Perfect for us in door recesses, engine bay and wheel arches. Plus, it’s fresh grapefruit scent make using Stain Cleaner a real pleasure to use.

Neutral Creamy Shampoo comes from a Japanese recipe for safe initial and basic washing. It gives an amazing slickness, thick foam, and is safe for waxes and coatings too. Most importantly, it can be easily rinsed off even it has completely dried! It retains its properties when diluted, but can also be applied directly to the surface. At a dilution ratio of 1:5, it can be used as an active foam agent.

The use of a clay bar in detailing has its roots from Japan and that’s where the Smooth Egg Clay Bar has been refined to perfection. If there’s any dirt that couldn’t be removed by the aforementioned chemicals, then this clay bar will help rid the surface of embedded impurities. Simply knead the clay until it becomes soft and flat, then gently slide the clay over the surface making sure that you’re using a quick detailer, shampoo or a specific clay lubrication to help it glide over the car. Make sure that the surface is perfectly smooth before moving to the next step.

The paint may now seem smooth, but it will still have a porous structure. Dirt, oily film and old protective coatings accumulate in these pores and that’s where Micro Liquid Compound steps in. Thanks to the delicate abrasive particles, it will also remove smaller defects like holograms or swirl mark scratches. Micro Liquid Compound can be applied by hand, machine or even on wet surfaces! It’s available in two tone variations to produce the best result dependant on your cars paint colour.

Before you apply a protective coating, it’s important to degrease the surface. Silicone Off can work wonders here – being one of the strongest but still one of the safest solutions on the market. It contains a mixture of substances that remove oily films and washes away the remains of polishing pastes and leaving the surface perfectly sterile. Using this before you apply a coating will improve the effectiveness of the product and will prolong its lifespan. Use it on paint, glass and even plastics!
